Jim was discharged from the hospital today. He's doing really well; steadier on his feet, hand/eye coordination is beginning to improve compared to what it was a few weeks ago. We will be leaving the hotel for my brothers' place tomorrow, where we will stay until Wednesday. On Wednesday, we come back to Seattle to have his staples removed, then fly home.

There are pictures of Jim's skull on the photo page, but if you are faint of stomach, you may not want to look. If you look at his forehead, it's impossible to tell that the entire front half of his skull (forward of the staples) is now acrylic. The neurosurgeon did an excellent job re-creating the shape of Jim's head.

We did find out that the tumor that was removed on Thursday was about the size of a flattened tennis ball. Considering that it was only the size of a golf ball just three short weeks ago, we were both reassured that Jim had made the right decision to have the surgery.
