Jim had a fairly calm, peaceful day today. We talked for awhile, and it was good. After some time had passed, his pain started to escalate, so the nurse gave him some Ativan to go with his morphine. Because of his picc line, his meds deposit right next to his heart. The Ativan had him snoozing for most of the afternoon. He was waking up just as I was leaving to go home and take care of Abbie, but James and Tina were there to visit with him. I will go back to visit him later on this evening.
