We got the results from Jim's MRI on Tuesday. Looks like he has a huge polyp in his sinus, and it also looks like the tumor found on his skullbone is growing and pushing on his brain. It looks like we may be traveling to Providence next week for stereotactic radiation, which is a radiation treatment that targets only the tumor, as opposed to the whole brain radiation that he went through last October. stereotactic radiation is actually much easier to take; no radiation burns, and the nausea and vomiting is almost nil. We should find out today whether or not we go to Anchorage next week.
On a good note, the MRI showed that the tumors on the right side of his brain responded to radiation, and are now shrinking. Hopefully, the lung tumor is responding to the chemo the same, and he will go into remission.
